RR vs GT, Match 24 Review

Who would have thought before the tournament started that Gujarat Titans will be at the top of the points table. But they are now courtesy of 3D performance from Hardik Pandya. He was everywhere tonight first with the bat playing a swashbuckling innings of 87*. Abhinav Manohar also made a vital contribution of 43 runs & Miller’s extraordinary finish helped Gujarat post a mammoth total of 192 runs. Rajasthan bowling was lacklustre today as they dearly missed the services of Trent Boult in the Powerplay and in the slog overs.

Rajasthan had a depth in their batting tonight with Neesham playing at No.8 and the pitch been very good for batting. 2 nights before RCB almost chased down 216 against CSK. Rajasthan were off to a flier as Buttler decimated Gujarat bowlers as he got to his 50 in the Powerplay itself. But then a sensational Lockie Ferguson yorker ended his innings and from there Rajasthan fell like a pack of cards. Hardik Pandya threw a rocket to send Sanju Samson Packing and Shami getting the in form Hetmyer ended Rajasthan’s chances of chasing this total. It was a sensational bowling performance from Lockie Ferguson and the debutant Yash Dayal both picking 3 wickets a piece. In the end we have to say it was a Hardik Pandya day tonight which has pushed Gujarat to the top of the table.
